....where to even start explaining this amazing experience I just had @BlekkMetal a very special once in a life time event....
it started by having Abbath and the Old Funeral guys on same flights from NYC to Bergen, and some nice talk with all.
then landed in Bergen on Thursday at noon and a couple of hours later was tattooing my brother The Real Vitorio from Italy and the one and only Hoest/Taake at Let's buzz tattoo where we guest on the days around the festival.
Friday and Saturday we were tattooing 12-9pm and right after got to see an incredible line up of true Norwegian black metal all dating back to early and mid 90's when The True Norwegian Black Metal was officially recognized - needless to say, the shows were all amazing and brought back so many memories for all those years that I've been listening to that kind of music.
everyone was so nice- NO ROCK STARS!!! just hanging out no matter who you are, all egos were left at home, including band members, producers, directors, photographers. tattoo artists, and artists in general.
got to meet so many good talented people, not just musicians, also mr. Beste was there, and many that supported the scene all the way back from the first producers that believed in them and got them in the recording studio, to the media people that put them in the media in a brighter supportive light, even the director of the legendary Necromentik was there sharing some insights.
on Sunday I won best of day for tattooing, and we had more traditional Norwegian food with a super performance of old Norse music and instruments at the after party in the garage bar.
on Monday I got to tattoo Frode Kilvik the talented bass player of Aeternus and Gaahl's Wyrd -what a great guy and true Maiden fan with more music stories then I can handle...haha and when we were done, went to dinner with a bunch of great tattoo artists that all share the passion for the music and mr. Gaahl and company.
I don't want to start tagging people here since I'm sure I will miss some names that deserve to be mentioned....the only ones I will tag is of courseJannicke Wiese-Hansen for a great thank you for pulling this amazing event together and everything all around...including my awesome new tattoo and a perfect souvenir for this specific event. and my brother Benjamin Moss which have been by my side for many years now and share just about any amazing event, trips, etc...around the world.
